IBM CDL Storage PFE BeiJing team is opening one regular position.

Job Description:
IBM Storage Product Field Engineer (PFE) provides problem determination and resolution regards of IBM Storage Products.

1. Part of IBM Worldwide PFE team, supporting GCG(Great China Group includes Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan) customers.
2. Highest level of field technical support on IBM Storage Products. Work as interface of the GCG field team and the worldwide development team.
3. Identify pervasive problems and provide action plans to recover machines
4. Provide tips, documentation, and code fixes to resolve customer problems.
5. Work closely with the Field Project Office to resolve customer complaints by visiting key customers and provide onsite support.
5. Collaborate with Service Planning to develop technical or service strategies
6. Engage development only if assistance is needed

Required Technique Skill:
1. Familiarity with the IBM Storage Product: DS8000, DS6000, ESS(model E/F/800), DS4000 or DS3000
2. Familiarity with the Operation System: Unix or Linux
3. Know of IBM Servers Product: Open system (System p, System i) and Mainframe (System z)
4. Know of Storage area network (SAN)

Qualification:
1. Bachelor degree (minimum) in Computer Engineering, Computing Science or Electrical Engineering related.
2. Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
3. Good communication and coordination skills
4. Active learner
5. Spirit of dedication and devotion under stress;
6. Accept overtime and duty on day off and holiday;
7. English: Fluent in speaking, reading and writing(CET-6 or above).

Preferred:
1. Experience in Storage products related field
2. Experience in Technical Support field

Travel: Up to 5%; travelling 3 days per month; home on weekends
