Project 1: Common Molding System
Location: Anting , Shanghai
The current CMS system used NA and Mexico needs to be deployed to a molding
facility in Shanghai, China. The CMS system will be implemented to support
the molding operations including material management, production
scheduling, process setup and verification, and finished goods handling.
The implementation of CMS will require coordination between hosting,
network, end user compute and applications (both MES and SAP). The server
configuration should be modeled after the implementation of Plant 45 in
Cortland, Ohio. The network needs to support connectivity to the machines
and devices surrounding the machines, to wireless scanners, and to wireless
devices on forklifts in the warehouse. Application versions for modules
deployed should be the same as the modules in Plant 45. Scanners will need
to be programmed with the appropriate programs to support CMS lite
functionality and MDE functionality. SAP configuration adjustments will
need to be made to support the interfaces with the CMS system.
The first phase is initiating phase, then planning phase and execution

" Gather requirements pertaining to the CMS interfaces with other
applications and systems (SAP-GCT, GSD, etc)
" Provide guidance, oversight and control to the project.
" Review existing work plans and provide recommendations wherever
applicable.
" Establish governance and communication structure to ensure better
transparency
" Monitor and managing the overall project plan and deliverables.
CMS SME Analyst " Provide CMS related technical guidance and know-how to
the team
" Gather requirements pertaining to the machine, controller and all
related interfaces with the CMS application
" To review/validate/recommend system and business propositions to the
solution.
" Provide insight to the current processes and systems and the ability to
integrate to the current system.
" Support the Project Manager to inspect and record key assumption,

Pick Up Sheet Maker (PUS) from Europe onto the new servers at Aging Central
Office, Shanghai
" Migrating the Plan For Every Part Metrics (PFEP) & Feedback System that
already exist in Packard AP, onto the new servers.

phase. Current phase is planning phase. Duration of planning phase is 3
weeks. The duration for entire project will about 8 weeks.
