1. Specialist / Engineer, SW Development
Job Description:
We are looking for motivated software development engineers to join us. Your responsibilities will cover module design, implementation and unit and functional test as well as test automation activities. You co-operate closely with verification team to ensure software quality and to make the product development work more effective. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.
Knowledge of J2EE, C++ or Java programming languages.
Object oriented programming (Java) skills.
Knowledge of database.
Knowledge of GPRS network.
Knowledge of version control tools, such as ClearCase.
Knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and WAP is a plus.
Knowledge of international standardization is a plus.
Knowledge of Agile and iterative SW development process is a plus.
2. Specialist / Engineer, Integration & Verification
Job Description:
Are you the motivated professional in the area of SW Verification? Nokia Siemens Networks is looking for Integration and Verification Engineers/Specialists to join our development team in Chengdu. You work in projects as a part R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes. Your responsibilities cover test planning, test automation development, testing and verification. Also, support for system verification may be required from time to time. Sometimes you need to use your expertise in your area in investigating and answering customer care questions. Note, that we have reserved some room for adjustments in your job profile depending on your level of expertise.
Requirements:
You are a person who usually get's the "big picture" of things quite fast and wants to
understand also the surroundings of your own area.
You must have understanding of SW development processes and you see the
importance of testing in the process.
Previous experience in testing and verification work is definitely preferred.

Your responsibilities will cover efficient and effective verification of the compliance of the products with customer requirements and system requirements, and the release quality criteria. You will work in projects as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.
Requirements:
Knowledge of GSM/GPRS network.
Sound Linux or other UNIX-like operating system knowledge.
Familiar with testing tools and test automation systems.
Script programming skill including shell script, Perl, Python.
Database (Oracle, Informix or other relevant DBMS) administration/tuning skills .
Knowledge of MAP, HTTP and TCP/IP protocols.

Job Description:
The main responsibilities are listed below. Based on your expertise and skills the content and responsibilities of your job will be tailored for the best fit for both you and our company.
To understand deeply telecommunications new technology trends, 3G, messaging service. To be an expert in one of these technical domain, (SIP server, SMSC, MMSC, WAP, HA ). Write technical and architecture specifications for product features. Work closely with project manager and development team to make sure that the implementation meets the architecture design requirements. Analyze deeply from technical point of view the gap between our product and the market need, define architecture for extensions together with product manager and system architecture team. Solve complex software problems, analyze software performance and product performance. Review product documentation. Provide input to system verification team and test case planning.
Requirements:
You are experienced in telecommunications product development.
More than 5 years of commercial software development experience and experience in telecommunications domain at least 1-2 years as architect.
Experience with Linux or other UNIX-like operating system.
Deep understanding of OO and design patterns.
Experienced C++/C or Java/J2EE programmer.
Knowledge of SS7, MAP, SIGTRAN, WAP, SMTP, Corba, TCP/IP.

We are looking for Product Manager, Rich Communication Clients to join Application Products' Client SW Product Line. As Product Manager you will own NSN Rich Communication Client products and manage them throughout their whole life cycle.
Creating release strategy and product roadmaps by screening customer requirements and analyzing market/technology/competitors. Planning product releases in alignment with Product Line Strategy. Ownership (if applicable) of the Product Master Plan. Managing possible product and/or release content changes during product creation. Setting targets for the product cost structure. 10. Laboratory Engineer
Job Description:
We are looking for a Laboratory Engineer to join our R&D team in Chengdu, China. You are responsible for developing and maintaining a laboratory environment for Nokia Networks products. Your main task will be to set up a testing laboratory and maintain a verification environment for testing of different products and platforms R&D programs. This involves hardware and software installations, testing support and looking after the IP networks, including routers and switches.
The work is organized in project teams, which have a close co-operation. This includes teams located on other Nokia sites, and this adds the international nature to the position. Fluent international communication is needed; therefore good language skills are very important.
Requirements:
Knowledge of IBM blade.
