1. Market Data Analyst (市场数据分析员)

Reuters is currently seeking university graduates to fill a variety of roles in our Beijing office. There are many positions available requiring proficient language skills for Asian markets.

COMPETENCIES:
University education pre-requisite
Fluency in English (and firm understanding of spelling, grammar and usage) a pre-requisite
Fluency in Japanese, must pass or at the same level of JLPT -1
Knowledge or experience of financial markets or accounting principles a distinct advantage for some roles

JOB DESCRIPTION - DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clients with Financial Data relating to companies within all various Asian countries
Maintain databases in a timely and accurate manner
Use appropriate language skills to understand and source financial information
Keep abreast of daily market activity to ensure Reuters information is timely and complete
Seek efficiencies in work practices to achieve automation
Ensure timely and complete resolution of queries from internal and external clients
Build up knowledge of financial regulations and market practices
Document policies, procedures and work processes

To meet job responsibilities, successful candidates will be given extensive training.

 

 
2. Market Data Analyst (市场数据分析员)

Use appropriate language skills to understand and source financial information

A: The recruitment process would be:

Q2: What would be the total package for Market Data Analyst position?

 

A: As a multinational corporation, Reuters provides competitive compensation. Specific compensation details will be discussed on an individual basis.

Reuters provides standardized benefits package based on government rules & regulations for all local employees. It includes medical insurance, retirement pension fund, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, maternity insurance and housing funds.

Q7: Does Reuters provide any continuing education and tuition reimbursement?

 

A: We encourage our employees to pursue further education. We do have a policy in place regarding tuition reimbursement. The policy is based on a few basic principles. First, it should be related to the employee's job requirement; second, there will be a cap as to how much can be reimbursed; and last but not least, the process is selective and competitive – we will prioritize the most competitive employees for continuing education.

 
Q8: Why is Reuters so late in entering China and why so late in coming to my school?

 

A: It is not about early or late. As a globally important market, China is a key in Reuters' overall growth strategy. Coming to China is a question of right circumstances and right time. In Chinese, it is '水到渠成'.
