Job Summary:
We are now looking for an engineer to develop and maintain products (units, nod
es, networks, systems and solutions). Your role will include all development ac
tivities such as: requirement analysis, system design, architecture design, har
dware design, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools de
sign, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation. Our focus
is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional developm
ent teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is
part of the daily work.
You will be working in the part of the VNF Development Centre (VDC) IMS Gateway
s within PDU Converged Core, which is responsible for IMS products and solution
s. The VDC is responsible for the development of the virtualized SBG/BGF/WCG/MR
F and MGC products and is a global organization with operations in Sweden, Finl
and, Hungary and China.
Responsibilities:
• Requirement analysis and implementation design
• Software development for IMS system, coding in Erlang, C/C and Java
• Test case design and running on functional level for IMS system
• Documentation design like component description and use case modeling
• Perform Trouble Shooting and Customer Support
• Drive Continuous Improvements
Key Qualifications:
• University Bachelor or higher Degree in any of the following majors: Co
mputer Science, Telecommunication, Information Technology, or Electrical Engine
ering.
• Solid experience on C/C or Java for more than 1 year. Erlang programm
ing skill is preferred.
• Solid experience on Linux OS
• Knowledge in IP networking is an advantage
• Knowledge on database is an advantage
• Good English communication skills (both in written and verbal) are pref
erred
• Innovative and solution thinking abilities
