[宁波]Rectenna devices in the visible range PostDoc
The call is for 1 Post-doc who will work in the field of opto/electrical simulations within a nanotechnology environment. In particular, the successful candidate will work in the field of "Rectenna devices applied to light-to-electricity conversion in the visible range". This work is part of a collaborative project with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley (USA) and it will be carried at CNITECH-CAS, Ningbo (China).
Requirements for applicants
Applicants must have a PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Nanotechnology or similar discipline. He/she must have at least 3 years work experience in simulation oriented research. In particular, knowledge of a numerical systems based on one of these techniques FEM, FDTD and FIT is mandatory (with preference towards FEM based software). Furthermore, a background in electromagnetism and/or electric transport is required.
The successful applicant will interact with international staff therefore he/she must be able to communicate in English.
The Ningbo Institute of Industrial Technology (CNITECH) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was officially co-founded in 2004 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Zhejiang provincial government and the Ningbo municipal government. As the first state-owned research and development institute in Zhejiang province, CNITECH has dedicated itself to strengthening cooperation with industries and research organizations in new materials, advanced manufacturing and new energy, and to integrating research and technology with high-tech industrialization. The latest built institute within CNITECH is the still under construction Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering which will be devoted to the development of material technology and engineering in medical filed.
The successful candidate will work in a newly established interdisciplinary group, within the Ningbo/Cixi Institute of Biomedical Engineering - CAS. The candidate will be then required to communicate in English and to write internal reports in English as well. Furthermore, strong interaction with experimentalist will be part of the everyday work life.
